ARJUNA PREFERRED LORD KRISHNA OVER HIS NARAYANI SENA AND DURYODHAN GOT SUPPORT OF SALYA KING

Lord Krishna helps Duryodhana and Arjuna equally for the war, Lord Krishna and Balarama denies to fight in the Mahabharata war, Shalya  gives a boon to Duryodhana

I have already explained in my preceding blogs how did Arjuna triumphed over Kauravas as Brihannala and Yudhishthira along with his brothers gave their real introduction to Virata king. Later Virata surrendered his kingdom to Yudhishthira and married his daughter Uttara off to Abhimanyu; son of Arjuna and Subhadra. Then Pandavas, Lord Krishna, Balarama, Virata, and Satyaki along with their family discussed related to further action to take to let the Pandavas win back their kingdom. Yudhishthira being the beneficent king, ought to in no way take back his kingdom in any illegal way. Being Kshatriyas, they had to fight against the Kauravas and get back their kingdom. All of them knew that Kauravas would by no means give the Pandavas their own kingdom Indraprastha. As per the suggestion of Krishna and his brother Balarama, Virata king decided to send one old Brahmin as their messenger to Hastinapura for developing harmony among Kauravas and Pandavas. Pandavas sent messengers to many kings to join them in the war. After that Arjuna went to Dwarika.

Duryodhana came to be aware of Pandavas' strategy and he himself went to Dwarika in order to meet with Lord Krishna. Both Arjuna and Duryodhana entered into the palace of Krishna and observed him taking a nap there. Duryodhana went inside and seated on a throne which was there near to Lord Krishna's head that time. While Arjuna went close to him and stood in a well-mannered way near Krishna's feet with folding hands. When Lord Krishna opened his eyes he first saw Arjuna in front of him due to the fact he used to be standing in front of him close to his feet. He welcomed each of them and asked the reason for their coming.

Duryodhana told him that, "I along with Arjuna are equally friends to you, I have come here to ask For Your support throughout the Mahabharata war against Pandavas. Moreover, I have reached here earlier to Arjuna, as a result, you should help me first."

Lord Krishna replied to him that no doubt he had come there before Arjuna but Krishna himself had seen Arjuna first. So Krishna decided to assist both of them equally. He referred to that On one side he could provide his superior armies called Narayani sena who would possess equal power like Krishna and on another side he himself would stay alone without taking part in the war or using any weapons against enemies.

Then he asked Arjuna to select from both. Arjuna choosed Lord Krishna over his bravest armies considering he knew lord Krishna was the god 'Narayana' himself who had taken birth as a human there. Duryodhana then gladly determined to take the heaps armies of Lord Krishna. He was highly positive that he had manipulated Krishna to take his army and also he used to be certain of his victory. Then he went to Balarama and requested help. Since we know that Krishna and Balarama had constantly been together in everything. Balarama could never take part in the fighting except for Krishna. He additionally denied joining the war. Balarama gave Duryodhana his blessings and stated to him that he would no longer be in a position to help any of them.

Later Krishna asked Arjuna why he had chosen Krishna rather of his armies on account that he would not combat in that war? Arjuna answered him that,"I know that you would solely kill all of the Kauravas in the war if you have fought. Out of God's grace, I am confident that i would kill all of them in the war. In order to conquer the war, I have to comply with your guidance. Oh Lord Krishna! turn out to be my charioteer and control over my life's reign." Lord Krishna agreed.

Duryodhana heard about Shalya king approaching there to meet with Pandavas. Shalya was once the brother of Madri; the second wife of Pandu king. He used to be the brave fighter king of Madra. He had massive armies. Duryodhana made arrangements to welcome Shalya properly and Shalya was worshipped like a deity there. Shalya was thrilled to know about Duryodhana's  hospitality. He wished to provide him a boon. Duryodhana requested him to turn out to be his commander of the army. Shalya agreed to him. Then Yudhishthira met his uncle Shalya and heard about the boon that he had given to Duryodhana. Yudhishthira being noble knew of the value of commitment. He knew his uncle Shalya would have to battle in opposition to the Pandavas because of the boon. Shalya was aware of the sufferings of Pandavas however as per the promise to Duryodhana, he had to become the charioteer of Karna. However, Shalya wished to grant him something too. Yudhishthira requested him to demotivate Karna at some point in the fight. He agreed.
