BRUTAL HONESTY OF MOTHER VIDULA IN MAHABHARATA

Brave mother Vidula inspires her son through harsh speech

'A salute to all of the mothers! due to the fact, no words are enough..'

Lord Krishna went to Hastinapur as Shanti duta for growing harmony amongst the Kauravas and Pandavas before the Mahabharata war. Even after seeing the Virat form of Lord Krishna, Dhritarashtra cited to Lord his incapabilities of guiding his son Duryodhana in the right direction. Lord Krishna then went to meet with his father Vasudeva's sister Kunti. (Kunti is the mother of the Pandavas and wife of King Pandu.) After the Dyutkrida, Pandavas went on an exile period whereas Kunti stayed at Hastinapura as recommended via Dhritarashtra considering the discomfort that could occur to her at such an age. Lord Krishna after meeting with her, asked if she had any messages to give to her sons. That time Kunti had pointed out a story of mind-blowing Kshatriya mom Vidula who encouraged her son for the reason that he had fled from a battlefield, which I am going to share right here on this publish.

Vidula was a heroic Kshatriya woman. She was a religious and wise person who used to comprehend the stunning advice of great persons from all the sastras and use those in real life. One day she noticed her son Sanjaya napping at his place helplessly after being defeated by the Sindhu king in a war. Seeing her scared son in any such state she started to condemn her son.

She stated, "Son! Even though you're born from me yet you no longer please me through your cowardice act. You are a mere man whereas you act like an impotent. You can not be regarded as a Kshatriya warrior. Have you been disenchanted for a lifetime? Abandon all of your fear! Don't go to sleep after being defeated by your enemies. Combat even if there may be fear of death! Why you are lying here like a lifeless person? You ought to fight like a lion on the battlefield. Even for a while, be mightier in front of your enemy. Do now not combat much less powerfully simplest to live. Heroic men after going to warfare express their energy as excellently as they can according to their religion. They don't bother with the rewards of their karmas and give best until their death.

Son! Put forward your religion and display your might! Either you attain salvation thru heroism otherwise die. Coward! All your repute is long past! Our kingdom is captured. What are you living for now? Even a good horse by no means gets tired or comfy. Keeping that in your thoughts take the obligation of the war and put some effort into it. Son! You must maintain persistence and have some self-respect. Recognize your duty and save this dynasty that is ruined because of you. That person who never realizes responsibilities only increases the populace while being on this planet and I consider that person neither a man nor a lady. That individual who doesn't spread his glory thru Donations, asceticism, studies, truthfulness, and earnings isn't regarded as a son to his mother but is just like her excrement.

Begging suits to a coward, eunuch, and a ruthless individual now not to you because it only disgraces your honor. That weak individual who thrills enemies by means of his fear, gets humiliated by all, he wears low elegance clothes and sits on a low role, becomes glad about a bit income, live the lifestyles of a Shudra human beings thus never pleases his own family individuals as well as relatives and buddies. Due to your worry, we're struggling right here after being exiled from our very own kingdom and might die without getting any occupation too. It appears as if I have given birth to a Kaal Purusha as in the form of my son who brings shame to our dynasty while being amongst the religious people. May no ladies give birth to a son that isn't having any braveness and enthusiasm in the direction of his duties? You have to unfasten yourself from that worry of defeat for which people are insulting you and make yourself stronger to confront your enemies and bring glory and prosperity to your country. That man's moral value is lost if he lives a comfortable life like a girl out of fear. Despite the fact that a king who dies combating in the conflict whilst giving all his efforts like a lion, always makes his people glad."

Son said, "Mother! What form of happiness you may get without me in case you win the earth? What do you need for jewelry and expensive lifestyles if I won't be with you?"

Vidula responded, "Son! Do not follow the route of a susceptible man living on others. All your humans must survive on you. Similar to Indra glorifies all of the deities, you need to please all your kingdom's people and your wellwishers. That character, who by way of his very own efforts lives his life superbly as a result gets a name and reputation in Manushya Loka as well as Paraloka.

Any individual for leaving his courage and degrading his fame will soon reach the way of low-born people and could be referred to as stupid. See! The people of our kingdom aren't happy with Sindhu Naresh and thinking about the fact of your's weakness they are now being bewildered yet are searching out for a relief from enemies. Even different kings are prepared to provide you assistance. Sindhu king is not Immortal! You are named 'Sanjaya' but I don't see any of your traits matching as in line with your name. Son! do not make your name worthless.

Once a wise Brahmin predicted that you'll get back your proper intellect after getting into a large hassle. Therefore, I believe you can win the war for which I'm again and again pronouncing you such. Sanjaya! Don't consider the benefits or losses that we in conjunction with our ancestors are going to get from the battle, constantly take it into account as your religion for being a Kshatriya. By no means stop batting! Getting no food for nowadays or the following day is the worst state of affairs out of all. Poverty is exactly another word for loss of life: is more pathetic than losing one's husband or son.

In the early days, my family members were thrilled to look at me in luxurious adorns and clothes. Sanjaya! At this second after seeing your own mom and other halves debilitated and your relatives, friends, slaves, acharyas, Richiks, and Brahmins leaving you because of the reality of their sustenance, you may not wish to live. Shall I be in peace after seeing no glory of my son's like before? I alongside my husband have in no way said no to any Brahmins regarding presenting them any alms til now consequently it'll devastate me if I ought to do it now due to you. Till now we have been the provider of shelters to others and we by no means relied on anyone. Before living on others I will choose to be dead. Son! Only you can keep us away from such catastrophe.

After slaying the Vritrasura demon, Deity king Indra got the Indrabhawan and became the ruler of all three Lokas. Brave warrior whilst announcing his name on the battlefield, challenging upon his enemies and killing top-notch warriors and armies there spread his glory. A person who faces such tremendous destruction, regardless of thinking about victory via getting his kingdom back or losing his very own life always attempts his best to slay all his enemies till the end. King! Being a mother of a Kshatriya, I cannot see my son no longer having any guts for the war and sitting idle among his sad people at the same time as being surrounded by his enemies. Do now not fall for girls of enemy facets instead revel in with your better halves while enjoying on your own palace proudly like before.

You're full of strength, charm, and strategies and honored. If a brave person like you gets scared at the time of displaying might during the war then you aren't much less than a big animal Bull who do no longer does its duty of lifting heavy burdens. How will it be viable for me to look at my son speaking sweetly to his enemies and following their way? In our dynasty, no person ever preferred being a slave to his enemies and you at the same time as doing such doesn't deserve to live. We all understand the superb almighty Kshatriya Gods whose heroism are widely known and venerated  by everybody on this earth. Kshatriyas by no means bow in front of their enemies however simplest to their religion and Brahmins."

Son stated, "Mother! It seems as if your heart is crafted from iron! Your thoughts are usually engrossed in heroism and abuse. How can you be so selfish to your own son? You constantly try to divert your mind towards war which seems like I am no longer your own son or you're no longer my own mother. How can you talk harshly to your only son? After losing your adorable son: me, will you be satisfied to get all of the luxurious accommodations?"

Vidula answered, "Wise human beings only bear in mind the wealth and religion for which I try to encourage you in the direction of the battle. Now is the best time for you to show your strength. If you go against the desired mindset then humans will humiliate  you everywhere. Leave that fool's way which the wise human beings usually disapprove. You may simplest be adorable to me if you pick the proper way of Kshatriyas. For a lady, Spending her complete lifestyle with such a lazy and foolish man and later having children from such coward is also worthless considering the fact that his kids could later not perform their duties too. Despite the fact that even if they do any works then it would be shameful act and it won't please anybody. Sanjaya! Kshatriyas are born to kill their enemies and get Indraloka. They get greater peace in capturing the enemies than being in Indraloka.

Son said, "Mother! You must now not explicit such type of thoughts out of your own mouth for me. Either you be mute or stunned and stay merciful in the direction of your own son."

Mom spoke back, "I feel happy to hear this from you my son! At least, you're concerned about a mother's duty closer to her son for being harsh. Likewise, I additionally remind you concerning your own obligations. I can greet you gladly only after you defeat all the Sindhu warriors. Moreover, I truly believe in you getting conquer your enemies."

Son said, "Mother! Neither I have wealth nor useful armies. How am I able to triumph over over my enemies? This is why I have diverted my mind from getting back to our kingdom much like a sinner no longer having the thoughts of getting heaven. If you know about any plan do let me know? I will certainly obey your command!"

Vidula replied, "Son! You should no longer disregard yourself noticing the destruction in our earlier wealth. Wealth and money can be obtained anytime and once more these get destroyed anyhow. You ought to no longer go for any work whilst considering the monetary consequences first. Not doing anything at all while considering the results is not appropriate. You have to enthusiastically give effort to it without sitting cozy. With the purpose of victory every day you must awaken while not having any grief, be prepared and perform responsibilities to acquire all of your preferred obligations. By way of worshipping God, deities and acting all the auspicious acts, a king gets reputable.

Display your remarkable efforts here! You take a look at a lot of these people who are against the guideline of Sindhu Naresh, desire to earn money, are exhausted from the attack from Sindhu warriors, have self-respect and wish to take revenge from Sindhu king, and you carefully favor them on your side thru giving donations and respect. In one of these manners, you make a big army, pay some income in advance and be polite to them. Consequently, they'll make you their leaders.

Son! A king must in no way be fearful or coward on any failures! This could have an adverse outcomes on his people. Few human beings seeing the king having no guts depart him, few humiliate and few also want to hit the king whilst turning into his enemies. Those who are wellwishers live alongside the facet of the king only and assist the king like their own member of the family or friend. Have you ever noticed your wellwishers? You in no way separate them from your side throughout this period.

Sanjaya! In case you realize I am pronouncing you the fact then work thus. We have got the finest wealth which you aren't aware of: the support of our wellwishers! all of them will be there with you in your happiness and sorrows, and they by no means will take their step back from the warfare. That individual who wishes to take his wealth back from his enemies and maintain up with his dignity recognise the aid from his ministers and wellwishers. "

Although Sanjaya's heart was not that strong after listening to the realistic, inspiring, and justified statements, all his worries include Tamogunas vanished from his heart.

He said, "Mother! Now either I will protect my kingdom and our people from the enemies or I will die combating. Due to the fact that I am born from a brave Kshatriya mother like you, it is quite apparent that I have the courage inside. To listen from you most of these motivational talks, I deliberately decide upon having a conversation with you like this. It was not that easy to listen to such heavenly wordings from you. I will definitely give my efforts now through taking help from my relatives and well-wishers. "

Later Sanjaya had the victory over his enemies and got his kingdom back.

This tale is called Jaya in history. Any humans who desire to have victory or Vijaya after being devastated by his enemies in any state of affairs must study it. Sanjaya was a Kshatriya and battling was his dharma. as a consequence, seeing her son losing guts, Mother Vidula influenced him via her harsh fact. A mother can sometimes be harsh but it is best for our own good. In no way we should break her heart. All of us have duties in our life. We need to no longer be disappointed in any miserable situations and rather face it with all our braveness. I am sure like Vidula we've or had a lovely mother by whose blessings we are certainly going to win over any situation. This tale was told by Kunti to Lord Krishna to let her son Pandavas recognize that they must not grief in any scenario. They must remember their Kshatriya religion and moreover they will have help from their wellwishers and relatives. With the tremendous power of all of the brothers together whilst getting the assist of Lord Krishna they will truly win over their enemies and own whole earth. No doubt their mother Kunti blessed them.

BHISHMA TALKED ABOUT NARA NARAYANA TO DURYODHANA

Bhishma explains glory of Lord Krishna

God himself takes four forms and protects the complete universe. God as 'Nara Narayana' practices 'Tapashcharya' or asceticism in Badrikashram, as 'Parameshwarappa' or almighty god witnesses all the good and bad karmas, as 'Lord Krishna' performs many activities in Manusya Loka or human world and in the fourth shape he sleeps in the Ekarnav ocean for thousands of years.

After the fourth day of the Mahabharata war, Seeing the consistent victory of Pandavas over the exquisite Maharathis like Bhishma, Shalya, Kritavarman, Kripacharya, Drona, Bhurishrava, Kamvojas, Bhagadatta, Ashwathama, Sudakshina, and many others, Duryodhana apparently asked the cause behind it to Bhishma. Then Bhishma had stated approximately the incident of Lord Brahma doing Stuti to Narayana to Duryodhana and the origin of Lord Krishna. The notable aspect was Duryodhana even after figuring out the greatness of Lord Krishna and Pandavas from Bhishma yet he still persisted with the war the next day. Let's know about it.

A long time ago, one day whole deities and Maharishis came to Gandhamadhana mountain and sat close to Lord Brahma. At that point, Lord Brahma observed one extremely wonderful Vimana in the sky. Lord Brahma who always has persistence manage over his senses, could apprehend via his meditation the incredible superior Parameswara had reached there and therefore Lord Brahma offered his prayers to him. Seeing great Lord like Brahma folding hands, the complete deities and sages also followed it. Lord Brahma then worshiped Param Purusha Parameswara there and did his Stuti and requested him to be born as Lord Krishna on the earth.

"Oh Lord Padmanava! Vishala Lochana! Lord Krishna! you are the ruler and safe heaven of the complete universe. You take away all our sorrows. Deveshwara! with your kindness all deities live in peace. With the aid of your grace earth remains fearless. Request you to be born again in the Yadu dynasty on this planet. For the safety of the universe, the destruction of demons, and the establishment of Dharma kindly accept our plea. Oh, Lord Krishna! you are regarded as the lord of Sankarshana Deva thru your soul and created Pradyumna as your Atmaj(Son). From Pradyumna, Aniruddha was born whom wise people refer to as the form of Lord Vishnu and I appeared from him. By the grace of being identical to you, I'm additionally referred to as Lord Vasudeva. Kindly reincarnate yourself as Vasudeva in conjunction with Sankarshana, Pradyumna, and Aniruddha on the planet. "

Pleased on Lord Brahma, Parameswara affectionately told him in a deep voice, "Through my Yogic focus, I've understood your desires and the whole thing will act likewise." Then he Vanished from there. After that, each one of the deities enthusiastically asked Lord Brahma about that individual whom he had offered his prayers and did his Stuti.

Lord Brahma spoke back, "Oh awesome Deities! The person who has splendid kinds of great elements like past, present, and future, called Paramatma and taken into consideration as remarkable almighty God gladly appeared before us to whom I've requested to take birth and live on earth for some time as Lord Vasudeva(Lord Krishna) and slay all the demons from here. 'Lord Narayana' will be reincarnated in Manushya yoni(Human world) to kill all those demons and Daityas who have been already killed before once more have been born in the Human world. Even the deities can not defeat Lord Krishna as soon as he enters the war. Furthermore, No ordinary people recognize two exceptional sages named Nara Narayana.

I, the master of the complete universe am the elder son of Lord Vasudeva. We all must offer our prayers to him. Lord Vasudeva who holds Conchshell, Mace and Chakra, need to not be considered as any ordinary humanbeing. He is the Parampada, Parambrahma, Indescribable, Imperishable, glorious in Sanatana Dharma. Paramatma himself thru Yoga shakti, entered the body of a human being as Vasudeva, hence disregarding him falls into Tamas Guna of someone. That character who does not realize Padmanava Vasudeva and disdain him goes to Hell. "

After hearing about Lord Krishna's embodiment from Lord Brahma, then  all of the deities left for their Lokas.

Bhishma furthermore stated to Duryodhana that, because of Duryodhana's Tamas Gunas, he kept hatred feelings for Pandavas while going in opposition to Lord Krishna. The super sages, Jamadagni, Parashurama, Markandeya, Vyasa, and Naradaji had also mentioned Basudeva Nandan Lord Krishna is the incarnation of tremendous Narayana.

Bhishma yet again stated to Duryodhana that, "you have gone in opposition to Arjuna and Lord Krishna who're Nara and Narayana Deva. 'Where there is adherence to right action, Lord Krishna is there and no doubt where there is righteousness, there's victory.' Lord Krishna is Sanatana, Indestructible, master of all Lokas, Ruler of the earth, the extremely good warrior and conqueror thus Parameswara himself. Pandavas are safe by way of Lord Krishna's Mahatmya yoga and Atmaswarupa yoga. He blesses beneficial advice to the Pandavas. Whole Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Sudras worship Lord Krishna. He is the almighty lord Vasudeva who rebirths in the Human world and establishes Dwarika Nagari that is surrounded by way of Devaloka(heaven), Martyaloka(earth) and ocean."

Duryodhana then asked Bhishma about the origin of Lord Krishna. Bhishma replied, "As in keeping with sage Markandeya, Lord Krishna is the greatest being the Purushottama (the supreme Purusha beyond Kshara and Akshara) and Sarva Bhutamaya (containing the five elements area, air, water, fire, and earth). At the beginning of the universe, he creates water, fire, and air along with the whole human beings. After creating Prithvi Devi (earth), he sleeps on the sea thru his glorious Yoga Shakti, makes Agni from his mouth, air from the soul, and via mind Saraswati Goddess and Vedas. He makes all the Lokas alongside sages and deities in the starting. He's the occupant of universal dissolution and the form of death. He creates and destroys humans. He is established in religion, he created past, present, and future. Moreover, he made all of the directions, sky, and guidelines. He creates  the sages and their penance. The creator of the universe Lord Brahma is born from him. It is said that Lord Krishna creates Sankarshana(referred to as Sesha who contains the complete planet in conjunction with the entire people on his hood, the tamasic energy of Lord Narayana himself that stays deep within Patala) before the great elements in which remarkable Lord Narayana appeared. From the navel of Lord Narayana, Lord Brahma is seemed who later creates  humans on the planet. From the ear dirt of Narayana, once a demon named Madhu appeared who dishonored Lord Brahma thru his evil acts thus was killed by way of Lord Vishnu. Thus Lord is known as Madhusudana.

Sensible Brahmins thru their Dhyana yoga (purification of mind through meditation heightens religious consciousness) gets to recognize exquisite Vasudeva. He has regarded Varaha, Narasimha, and Vamana avatars too. He's the father and mother complete universe. Brahmins are created from his mouth, Kshatriyas from his two arms, Vaishyas from thighs, and Sudras from feet. That individual who at the same time as managing his senses, prays to Keshava devotedly throughout all Amavasyas and Purnimas, gets the divine Parampada. Lord Krishna due to his glory known as Hrishikesh who stays within the heart of each person. Duryodhana! You should consider him as Acharya, Father, and Guru. He grants victory of eternal Lokas to the ones on whom he's thrilled. Any individual who takes his shelter, does his Stuti brings prosperity to himself, in no way receives suffering from Samsara moha, and never gets fear. Nara and Narayana sages are born as Arjuna and Lord Krishna can by no means be defeated or killed in the war."

After hearing from Bhishma, Duryodhana understood the significance of Pandavas and greatness of Lord Krishna and prepared for the war next day.

SPLENDID EXAMPLES GIVEN BY VIDURA

Vidura talks about the Birdcatcher and The honeycomb

We all recognize wise and decent Vidura who was half brother to King Dhritarashtra and his adviser. He had constantly been in his Dharma. Besides the one Kaurava named Vikarna out of hundreds, Vidura had also raised his voice against the humiliation of Draupadi within the king's court. He had frequently tried to convince Duryodhana and Dhritarashtra not to behave unrighteously towards the Pandavas seeing that Pandavas had been their family too. In this post, I will provide an explanation for brief the notable tales told via wise Vidura to Kauravas with an aim to make concord with Pandavas. These aren't certainly stories that we will simply read and overlook, we need to apprehend the morals. Nowadays disputes among brothers are common in all families. Operating together as a group in a circle of relatives builds trust amongst all the individuals and helps us face the ups and downs together. Duryodhana not only let the Pandavas go through in forest by tricking them into gambling but additionally he seized the Indraprastha which belonged solely to the Pandavas. There was sincerely no purpose for Kauravas to do this. let us know those stories in this post.

Once a bird catcher spreaded net on one ground to capture birds. Two birds who continually used to fly and roam together, fell into that trap however flew away in conjunction with that net. Seeing those two birds flying away in the direction of the sky didn't distress that birdcatcher at all. He followed those birds in their path. that time a sage who was staying within the woodland, after finishing his routine night prayers was sitting idle in his hermitage observed that birdcatcher who was following those two birds. The sage asked him, why he was running after those birds on the ground despite the fact that those birds were flying in the sky.

That birdcatcher replied, "Oh sage! these two birds are as of now being together for which they may be flying away with my net. I can catch them as quickly as they begin quarreling. " After a while both the fool birds started out fighting with each other and as a result fell down on the earth. Seeing in such a situation, the bird catcher immediately captured them.

Vidura stated, "those family members who quarrel with each other on wealth, they, therefore, fall into enemy's entice just like these birds. Relatives devour food and live together, be polite to one another and ask wellbeing of each other. They have to by no means go for partition. Individuals who constantly respect and serve their seniors emerge as triumphant. Enemies never even consider setting a trap for them. However, those who regardless of being rich enough usually crave more money, they lose all their wealth to their enemies. Burning woods after separating from one another, not burn like before, only releases smoke. Own family individuals only after bonding with each other come to be extra powerful. "

Inside the second tale, Vidura shared his personal experience at the time he had witnessed on Gandhamadhana mountain. Vidura went there together with few saintly Brahmins and Bhil(a tribe of hill people). Those Brahmins preferred to speak about Vidya and medicinal sadhana through Mantra Tantra. That mountain was surrounded by many medicinal trees. They located one honeycomb in an inaccessible cave-in that mountain which was not constructed by honey bees. It seemed like a golden-colored pitcher. large toxic snakes were guarding that honey there. Deity Kubera was fond of that honey. Those medication seeker Brahmins referred to that honey if consumed by way of any human beings would make him immortal, additionally, it'd provide eyesight to blinds and youth to old human beings. After listening to the extraordinary advantages of that honey, those Bhil humans craved for it and wanted to own it. Consequently, they entered that cave and were killed by those poisonous snakes.

Vidura then referred to Dhritarashtra, "similarly your son Duryodhana desires to own all the kingdoms on the earth to himself. Out of greediness, he only sees the honey now not its risky outcomes. Duryodhana talks about fighting Arjuna in the war at the same time no longer have strength much like him. furthermore a top-notch warrior like Arjuna who had already conquered the entire earth all by himself and scared off the excellent Kaurava warriors like Bhishma and Drona during Virata Yudh still awaits an alliance between Pandavas and Kauravas and consequently can forgive the Kauravas." Likewise, Vidura recommended Dhritarashtra to make it up to the Pandavas.

BHISHMA WAITED FOR UTTARAYANA IN ORDER TO DIE

Yudhishthira declines Lord Krishna to participate in the war, Bhishma  assists Pandavas and accepts his death by laying down on bed of arrows

We all comprehend that Bhishma was blessed with the boon of 'self-willed death' by his father Shantanu; the king of Hastinapura on the fact of Bhishma taking the vow of staying a celibate till the cease if his life and sacrificing the throne of Hastinapur. Bhishma used to be so courageous that even deities could not defeat him. During the Mahabharata war daily Bhishma slew ten thousand soldiers and destroyed many chariots. Pandavas had no clue how to kill him. Lord Krishna additionally raised his Sudarshana chakra against Bhishma in order to kill him but was stopped by Arjuna during the Mahabharata war.

The night before the tenth day of the Mahabharata war, Pandavas along with Krishna had a discussion over the huge destruction of their army by way of Bhishma. Pandavas had no clue how to defeat such an invincible warrior like him. Lord Krishna had consoled Yudhishthira and asked for his permission  to let Krishna himself take part in the great Mahabharata war and kill Bhishma.  He knew that Despite  taking an oath to kill Bhishma Pitamaha, Arjuna Could not  fulfill it out of maintaining affection towards him. Yudhishthira with courtesy denied Krishna to fight in the war on the grounds that Krishna had already cited before no longer to raise weapons in the Mahabharata war and  Yudhishthira didn't want Krishna's statement to be turned out as a lie. On the other hand, Yudhishthira at that time recalled the condition of Bhishma that was set by him  prior to the war that 'Bhishma would give  advice  to Pandavas for their benifit  during the war but he would only fight in the favor of Duryodhana'. Therefore Yudhishthira alongside his brothers and Lord Krishna went to Bhishma  Pitamaha in order to seek for his advice regarding his own death.

Bhishma referred to them that, "I never prefer  fighting with a warrior who has already  lowered  down his weapons or has no armor and dhwaja, has  been   running away from war, has  already  surrendered to me, would be the only son of a father, any high caste individual, and any females or person having lady name. I can never raise any weapons at Sikhandi: born to the queen of Panchala king Drupada, as a woman however later grew to be a man. I know Sikhandi was Amba in his previous birth. Hence I suggest Arjuna to bring me down via shooting arrows while keeping Sikhandi as his shield." Bhishma knew that only Arjuna or Lord Krishna could kill him. Bhishma already knew that It was destined by Lord Brahma that only Arjuna would kill him.

Likewise next day during the war, Bhishma killed many armies of Yudhishthira furiously. Arjuna observed Bhishma's instructions. Sikhandi attacked Bhishma which was ignored by Bhishma.  Arjuna then  pierced Bhishma's whole body by shooting many arrows at him. Bhishma knew he could fight back with Arjuna as he was doing it during the war earlier  however, he choosed to accept his death instead, for this reason, gave up a counter-attack.

All the vasus after understanding the decision of Bhishma appeared in the sky and gladly supported him. Out of pain Bhishma  even raised shakti weapon towards Arjuna however he destroyed it it. Shockingly that time Bhishma in spite of being surrounded by the armies alongside the remarkable warrior kings of Kaurava side, could not get rescued. Though Bhishma had already made up his mind for his death, Arjuna defeated all of those warriors and made Bhishma fall down from his chariot by shooting innumerable arrows at his body. Bhishma's body used to be already pierced thru the arrows consequently after falling down, his body stayed untouched on the earth. Bhishma could have died that very moment. But He discovered it was not the auspicious time because of 'Dakshinayana of sun'.

(In a year sun changes his position twice for a period of six months. Uttarayana or summer solstice is regarded as auspicious, starting from Makara sankranti and all yajnas, donations, marriages are carried out during such holy period. While Dakshinayana or winter solstice is acknowledged to be suitable for Tamasik things to do which are fulfilled with lust, desires, And negativities. Bhishma did not desire to sacrifice his life during Dakshinayana and decided to wait until the holy period of Uttarayana of sun started.)

While laying down on the bed of arrows or on 'sarasajya' Bhishma had asked Arjuna to provide him a suitable pillow for his head since his head needed support. Many Kauravas had presented him with gentle and satisfactory pillows however Bhishma rejected them. After taking permission of Bhishma, Arjuna had shot three arrows closer to the earth to let Bhishma rest  his head on those arrows. Later Bhishma out of suffering  caused by the shot arrows, wished to have water and asked Arjuna to provide him. Since Bhishma was going to die, he did not desire to have something associated with the human world. Then Arjuna moved in a circle on his chariot around great Bhishma,  shot a divine arrow on the earth to the right hand side of Bhishma. Shockingly Water came out of the place and quenched Bhishma's thirst.

ALAMBUSHA KILLED ARJUNA'S SON IRAVAN

Iravan dies during Mahabharata war
Let me first inform you about Iravan or Aravan; the son of the brave warrior Arjuna and Ulupi. Ulupi was the daughter of Naga king Kauravya. After her chosen husband being killed by Garuda, Ulupi used to be getting depressed  day by day. She was also childless. After her meeting with Arjuna, she was married to him: from whom she had a son named Iravan. He was born and brought up in that Nagaloka only. Later he was abandoned by one of his old relatives who used to be having hatred feelings for Arjuna. After knowing about his father Arjuna, Iravan met him in the Indraloka during the period when Arjuna had gone there to aquire  divine weapons. Arjuna had blessed his son there and asked him for his support in the upcoming Mahabharata war.

On the ninth day of the Mahabharata war, Courageous Iravan destroyed many cavalry warriors alongside many horses of Kauravas. Six brothers of Shakuni out of the total hundred sons of Subala king named as Gaja, Gabakshya, Brishabha, Charmaban, Aarjaba, and Shuka entered fiercely into the Durjaya Array which was organized by way of Iravan himself and those six brothers were killed by him in that array. Seeing the demise of their six brothers, the rest of the brothers of Shakuni attacked Iravan from everywhere, injured him, and tried to seize him. Iravan killed them all by himself.

Seeing the death of whole brothers of Shakuni, Infuriated Duryodhana asked the demon Alambusha; son of Rishyasringa and brother of Bakasura to kill Iravan. Bakasura was once slain by way of Bhima during Pandavas stay in Ekachakra. BHISHMA TRIED TO INJURE LORD KRISHNA

Lord Krishna decides to raise his weapon Chakra against Bhishma

Being the remarkable warrior Bhishma used to be unstoppable in the Mahabharata war. It was not possible to defeat or kill him. Lord Krishna became indignant about him during the Mahabharata war and thought of killing him all by himself. We all remember lord Krishna  stating not to raise weapons in the war, then what made him change his mind? What exactly had happened that made him take such a step?

On the third day of the Mahabharata war, brave Bhima made Duryodhana unconscious by way of shooting an arrow at him. Seeing Duryodhana being senseless his armies started out running here and there out of fear. Even his Pitamaha: the commander in chief Bhishma and Acharya Drona could not stop the army of Duryodhana. Pandavas alongside other kings like Dhrishtadyumna, Satyaki terrified the armies thereby shooting many arrows at them.

After gaining back his consciousness, Duryodhana again got his army back on the battleground, went to Bhishma Pitamaha, and told him, "Regardless of having Great warriors like Bhishma Pitamaha, Dronacharya, Kripacharya and Ashwathama, my armies ran away and many have been destroyed. Pitamaha! If you  had to exhibit mercy to the Pandavas and no longer to battle with Dhrishtadyumna, Satyaki all through the warfare then you could have confirmed it to me earlier than the beginning of the war only." Then he asked Bhishma and Drona to show their heroism in the war unless they think leaving behind Duryodhana would be splendid at that time.

Hearing such from Duryodhana, Bhishma referred to him that, winning over Pandavas was not even possible by great deity like Indra. However being provoked by Duryodhana, Bhishma all by himself attacked and killed a huge number of Pandavas' armies furiously. A massive number of Yudhishthira's army got scattered, many elephants, horses had been injured and chariots had been destroyed by Bhishma.  Seeing the frightened army of Yudhishthira, Lord Krishna told Arjuna to fight with his full force. Arjuna went in the direction of Bhishma.

Seeing Arjuna coming, Bhishma shot many arrows at his chariot which injured the horses. However lord Krishna being the charioteer of Arjuna did not get distracted and tactfully reached close to Bhishma. Arjuna broke his Dhanush whilst shooting back at him. Bhishma was thrilled with the promptness of Arjuna, took another Dhanush in his hand, and challenged Arjuna to combat with him. Bhishma wounded Arjuna along with Lord Krishna deeply via shooting many arrows at his body. Enraged Bhishma blocked both of them on their chariot by raining  thousands of arrows on them. Bhishma then continuously shot many arrows whilst laughing loudly out of exasperation and tormented as well as staggered Lord Krishna.

Lord Krishna knew that even after badly harming  Arjuna and after Destroying many soldiers of Yudhishthira, Arjuna was still fighting with Bhishma while maintaining a soft heart towards him. Lord Krishna could not tolerate seeing the destruction of the Yudhishthira's army. Krishna knew that Bhishma was capable enough to even defeat the whole deities and demons in a single day. Noticing the complete army of Pandavas running away everywhere, Lord Krishna thought of killing Bhishma all by himself and reliving the religious Pandavas from their miserable situation. He was aware that Being respectful towards Pitamaha, Arjuna used to be not following his duties. Satyaki observed Arjuna being surrounded via Gajraj armies and many armies of Kauravas. He came to assist the armies of Pandavas and additionally reminded them of their  Kshatriya dharma to fight bravely instead of running away from there.

That time Lord Krishna determined to defeat the whole Kauravas and to please Pandavas. He remembered his divine weapon Sudarshan chakra and it regarded on his hand. While having the chakra on his right hand he jumped off the chariot and with an intention if killing Bhishma rushed in the direction of him whilst trembling the whole earth. He was capable of killing the entire Kauravas. Seeing the glory of furious Lord Krishna in this form Kaurava armies lamented and mourned there. Bhishma was not at all terrified by noticing Lord Krishna coming closer to him. He offered his prayers to Krishna and gladly waited for his death. Bhishma knew that it would be a splendid fortune for him to die at the hands of Narayana.

Arjuna went after Lord Krishna immediately and tried to stop him by grabbing Lord's both arms. But lord used to be so angry that time he did not stop and went further. Then Arjuna forcibly hold the toes of Lord Krishna and made him stop. After that Arjuna pacified the anger of Lord Krishna and promised that he himself would fight with Bhishma with all his efforts.
